Before being an ecological campsite in Marseille, Youcamp Village is an important natural site (preserved), where the pitches are integrated into the typical Mediterranean vegetation: boxwood, Scots pine, downy oak.
Set in the heart of a magnificent 7-hectare pine forest, just a stone ‘s throw from Marseille and Cassis (less than 20 minutes away), the campsite attaches great importance to developing a management and development project in keeping with this rich environment.
In July 2022, Youcamp Village became the first campsite in the PACA region to obtain the European ecolabel. Awarded by Afnor Certification for a period of 4 years, the European ecolabel certifies the campsite’s commitment to implementing an environmental policy aimed at reducing its impact, as well as supporting its staff and customers in the ecological transition.

Every day
Several actions underline the commitment of the ecological campsite in Provence:
- 100% renewable energy supplies and the use of energy-efficient materials and equipment.
- The use of over 95% eco-labelled cleaning products.
- Implementation of a waste reduction plan and on-site recycling of 100% of the campsite‘s green waste in Marseille.
- The selection of local and committed suppliers for the catering offer.
- The elimination of all single-use plastics and numerous other information and awareness-raising measures have been put in place to encourage environmentally-friendly modes of transport and reduce the impact of tourism on the environment.
A global commitment to the environment
Youcamp Village’s commitment to the environment is reflected in its accommodation (ecolodges, cabanons and chalets pods), which are designed to blend in with the natural surroundings , and in the overallProvencal camping spirit. They are connected to an ecological sewage treatment plant, located below the ecological campsite in Marseille.
All wastewater is treated on site by a natural filtration system, limiting the environmental impact.
All the products used by the maintenance team are eco-labeled and comply fully with the requirements of the campsite’s ecological sanitation system.
To preserve the environmental cycle of the ecological campsite in Provence, each camper is invited to adopt simple gestures, such as the exclusive use of ecological products for laundry, dishes and hygiene. But don’t panic, these products are on sale at reception.
Ecologically committed, Youcamp Village has selective sorting bins and a compost bin at the entrance to the site. As key players in the protection of the campsite, you are invited to sort your waste and deposit it in the appropriate containers. For motorhome guests, please note that the campsite does not have a drainage station; however, the campsite team will be happy to point you in the direction of nearby stations.
