You’ll have the opportunity to discover the history of this town as you explore the 15 exhibition spaces featuring 1,500 exhibits. The Cinéma Eden, built in 1889, is still in operation. In 1996, the Eden was listed as a historic monument. La Ciotat’s historic center boasts a pleasant atmosphere and authentic character. Don’t miss the chance to discover the various monuments and their exceptional architecture.

Don’t forget to explore the Maison de la Construction Navale. This museum showcases the captivating world of shipbuilding. The visit will be structured around a variety of informative media such as photos, films and testimonials.

An exceptional natural environment

During your visit to La Ciotat, it’s essential to discover the Calanques , particularly those of Figuerolles and Le Mugel. This enchanting site is world-renowned for the captivating beauty of its landscapes.

Similarly, if you want to spend the day sunbathing on the beach, head for Grande Plage or Cyrnos. We also suggest Plage des Capucins, Plage Saint Jean and Plage Lumière. Or, if you prefer less crowded bathing spots, head for Plage de Fontsainte.

Just outside La Ciotat, don’t miss a trip to Ile Verte. One day will be enough to explore this corner of paradise. A special shuttle leaves the Port Vieux daily between April and October. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, venture onto the Route des Crêtes. This is the route between La Ciotat and Cap Canaille. It offers breathtaking views of the region.
