It’s true that Youcamp has a superb swimming pool where you can relax or take a dip with great pleasure. But if you feel like taking a dip in the sea and relaxing to the sound of the waves, we’ve put together a selection of the best beaches near Aubagne.
The Huveaune beach
Just a stone’s throw from the city center , this beach is 22 minutes from the campsite. Also known as “la plage des planches à voile”, it’s a favorite with surfers. The waves here are phenomenal.
L’Anse de l’Arène
Come to Cassis and enjoy a beautiful day at l’Anse de l’Arène. The beach, located 26 minutes from the campsite, is natural and rocky. You’ll be surrounded by a pine forest and vineyards. The seabed is very interesting. Another advantage of this spot is that it’s not very crowded.
La Plage de la Grande mer
Unlike the previous one, swimming is supervised. This beach is the largest in the city center, stretching over 200 meters. Located behind the harbour, you can swim in front of the Cassis Castle. Located 27 minutes from the campsite, it is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and has toilets and showers.
Les Lecques beach in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer
De la Martine nicknamed this beach the Bay of Naples in miniature. It’s a majestic spot where you can enjoy a variety of activities: mini-golf, beach volleyball, kayaking, paddle… It’s 27 minutes from the Aubagne campsite.
The Bay of Monkeys at Les Goudes
This beach in Marseille is 41 minutes from the campsite. It’s quite small and protected by a seawall. You’ll be surrounded by huts and white rocks. We recommend going during the week to avoid the crowds.
Calanque du Mugel beach
This calanque, located in La Ciotat and 28 minutes from the Provencal campsite, is a haven of peace. The beach lies below a botanical park with extraordinary vegetation. This makes for a heavenly setting. Please note, however, that it is not very suitable for children.
Figuerolles Beach
Also in Ciotat , 28 minutes from the campsite, this second calanque is surrounded by two large rocks. The first is shaped like a dog’s head, the second like an eagle’s beak. These natural curiosities are well worth a visit. The water above them is turquoise.
Saint-Estève beach in Frioul
To reach this archipelago, you’ll have to embark from the port of Marseille. The journey takes a total of 55 minutes. But once the crossing is over, you’ll be blown away by the beach with its golden sand and warm turquoise waters.
Port d’Alon cove
Between Bandol and La Madrague, you’ll find this small pebble beach just 36 minutes from the campsite. The pine trees provide a natural, shaded solarium. There’s also a marine trail that you can visit with an eco-guide to learn more about the surrounding flora and fauna.
En-Vau calanque beach, Marseille
To enjoy the Calanque d’En-Vau, you have to earn it. After a 45-minute walk, you’ll finally be able to admire its famous unspoilt natural beauty. Note that it takes 54 minutes to reach it from our campsite near Marseille.
